Just got back from a family mini-vacation down under the bridge this last weekend.... the rooms we stayed in were great, food was good, and all the cousins on my wife's side of the family were together at the same time I think for the first time. All in all it was a good, if high-paced, trip.
The one big down-side was traveling in a car with no air conditioning for over 4 hours. It was warm when we went down, and even hotter on the way back up. Worse, we paid to have the air conditioning fixed right before leaving on this trip. So, my ass was the sweatiest it's ever been, thanks to "Quality Car Care" of Marquette. Way to go grease monkeys.
I've gotten the camp bug biting me again now too, thanks to the trip. It was nice to have a "home away from home" but it'd be better to have one we could escape to more often, a bit closer to home. As soon as we sell this house and find our next one, it'll be time I think to start saving for a camp. (Feel free to donate toward the cause.)
